Is the Big Bang Theory True?
If you believe that when God created the heavens and the earth that a very Big Bang happened, then yes it is true! However, that is not the lie that most people are referring to when they say “The Big Bang”.
Most people at some point in there lives have been taught that our entire universe came about as spontaneous generation (Big Bang) resulting in Darwinian evolution. In other words, nothing expanded and created everything we see, including the complex galaxies, animals, and humans. Though there is more to these theories than that, it does pretty much sum them up in a nutshell.
An honest person would have good reason to be skeptical about such a far-fetched theory, but this is what is taught as scientific fact in the public schools to our children starting at a very young age. So is there any truth to the thought that our universe came about as a great cosmic accident and we are simply a mistake that has evolved from a single cell to the advanced human beings that we are today?
The simple answer is NO! According to the Bible, God intentionally created the Universe, human beings, animals and everything in it for a very specific purpose…His glory! (Isaiah 43:7, Psalm 19, Ephesians 2:10, 1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 1:16–17, 3:17).
What about the claim that evolution and the Big Bang have been scientifically proven? Doesn’t that prove that the Bible is wrong? (Click here to find out how reliable the Bible is).
First of all, just because someone claims that something is scientific does not mean that it actually is. Always check the facts before blindly believing. According to Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary, the definition of science is: knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation.” In other words, for it to be scientific it must be both observable and reproducible. This definition by itself rules out both the Big bang and evolution as science as neither are observable or reproducible. That is why these two schools of thought used to be called theories and not scientific facts.
That’s not all! There is another scientific law called the “Law of Biogenesis.” This scientific law (which has never been broken) plainly states that life CANNOT come from non-life. Here again, we have another nail in the coffin that our Universe came about from nothing (non-life). Here is a great article and video on why the big Bang theory is scientifically impossible.
So, if the Big Bang theory that life started from non-life isn’t true, are there any other possibilities other than Supernatural creation? Nope, in fact even the famous atheist scientist George Wald admits that in this quote, “There are only two possible explanations as to how life arose: Spontaneous generation arising to evolution or a supernatural creative act of God…. There is no other possibility.” It’s either “God created” or “nothing created.” So do George Wald and other atheist have something else scientifically to base their claims on? No! In fact, simply read the rest of his quote as to the reason why he accepts the Big Bang and evolution instead of supernatural creation, “Spontaneous generation was scientifically disproved 120 years ago by Louis Pasteur and others, but that just leaves us with only one other possibility… that life came as a supernatural act of creation by God, but I can’t accept that philosophy because I do not want to believe in God. Therefore I choose to believe in that which I know is scientifically impossible, spontaneous generation leading to evolution. There you have it, a desire to not believe in God, and not the scientific proof backing evolution is the real reason behind the vast majority of people who have chosen to dismiss the Genesis account of creation.
The sad thing is that these lies have deceived millions of people into rejecting Jesus as their Lord and Savior as old age earth beliefs and Big Bang theories destroy our need for Jesus. The Bible tells us that we were created in God’s image with a unique purpose. Unfortunately sin entered the earth as a result of mans rebellion. Now each person is on path destined for eternal punishment in hell (Romans 3:23, 6:23). Yet God in His mercy chose to send His only son Jesus to die in our place that we could be forgiven (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). please check out the following article If you would like to know how you can be forgiven and find peace with God.
