What is apologetics?

The word apologetic’s comes from the greek word “apologia” in 1 Peter 3:15 which means “to give a defense or a reply.”

1 Peter 3:15 tells us to “always be ready to give a defense for the hope that is in us.” First and foremost that hope is Jesus, not arguing religions. When we tell people about the hope that is found in Jesus, often times there are questions that follow. Apologetics helps us answer those questions. Many people have questions about the Bible, God, or other religions. It is our job to make sure we have the answers.
